Foundations of Drone Operations for Construction and Renovation

The primary target audience for this course includes construction professionals, SME representatives, site managers, safety coordinators, and VET trainers, but the course is open to anyone wishing to enhance their expertise in the use of drones in construction and renovation projects.
What can you learn by taking this course? In this course, we aim to provide you with:
- Knowledge of foundational systems, flight principles, and sensors used in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) on construction sites.
- How to select the appropriate platform and sensor for specific building and renovation tasks.
- European and national drone regulations, risk assessment (SORA), and safe operational planning.
- Knowledge of emergency response, incident management, roles and responsibilities, and data protection (GDPR) regarding drone operations on construction sites.
Prerequisites
No prior drone operating experience is required for Module 1.1, though a basic familiarity with construction or renovation activities is beneficial. Completion of Module 1.1 is required for Module 1.2.
